Back in about May we came across this 1950′s facsimile reprint of A Christmas Carol originally published in 1843. It’s a beautiful book and Benjamin remarked the image of Mr Fezziwigs Ball would be good for a Christmas blog post.
Inside it is inscribed
With love to Dad, Happy Christmas 1952 from Tony
It will be one of the books we read over Christmas when one needs a respite from family (much as we love them dearly).
We have spent the day making, not things for TheBigForest but presents and listening to Bach Flute Sonato. What a very pleasant way to spend time and now we are totally in the holiday mood.
Very good wishes for Christmas to all our blog readers (and Happy Holidays! to our many American customers and blog readers), see you after the festivities.

Happy Christmas to you at TheBigForest ! All peaceful and beautifully decorated in Fishermans Cottage, with log stove making all cosy ! Love to you and yours !
Thank you Susan. A very late response but your wishes were very much appreciated. We do hope you had a good festive season.
A Merry Christmas to you too! Enjoy!
Thank you! Have a lovely Christmas.
So nice that you made time to make presents after all your Big Forest making! x
Have a lovely Christmas in Australia. No making of any description is going on for the next few days here at TheBigForest!
Haven’t made a single thing myself since I got to Oz! x
