Ok listen up big forest folk (little forest folk can listen too!) we have some original valentines cards and gifts all available in our Etsy shop and most of them on our NotOnTheHighStreet shop too!
What says I love you more spectacularly than a handmade gift or a beautiful original card? Nah, we don’t know either …
First up is our original valentines card. Did you love those paper dolls and card construction kits when you were a kid? Well here is a grown up version to show just how much you love your valentines! Professionally printed in thick 350gsm card and a BIG 5 3/4 inches by 8 1/2 inches (that is A5 for all you european folk like us) you cut out the woodsman in his thermals, a tree, bunting, a signpost to those wondrous places big hugs and kisses, a rabbit (sorry I couldn’t resist drawing one) and the woodsman clothes with his big sign saying I LOVE YOU. Then you construct the scene. Wooo! And postage is free in the UK and at cost to the US.
The cards are designed so girls can send them to boys, boys to girls and boys to boys…..because as regular readers know, everyone is welcome in TheBigForest.
As it say on the card ‘Just to say I love you I sent the woodsman with a message especially for you’. And that if isn’t romantic enough for you I really think you are in the wrong forest.
There also valentines animals too each with a beautiful hand designed valentines badge based on 1940′s sailors tattoos and the name of your sweetheart. They snuggle in their own tissue wrapped box and they are the most wonderful way to say I love you.
Right, we have used up a whole box of kleenex tissues on this post and we hope you are really well and truly loved up!

ooooh that card is amazing….
Thank you! Thank you! That is so nice to hear.
There is another one finding its way to the printers soon celebrating love of another kind! He said mysteriously (but I hope that doesnt sound a tad dodgy as well)….oh well Ill post it on the blog soon and you will see it too.
The card is awesome! I love non-Valentine-y Valentine cards:-)
Thanks Maggie. Really appreciated. I wanted to design something which you could send anytime of the year but particularly at Valentines.
