Silence is golden?

Rolled up the blinds this morning and saw this. SilenceIsGoldenBlogA woosh of great spring feeling. As regular readers will know one of our favourite times is Saturday morning, the whole weekend spread out before you, so much to explore and do. Sun coming up! Its warm enough for just a jacket. Spring picnic on the beach says Benjamin? Sounds good to me.

We havent been blogging much over the past four weeks. Silence may be golden but in blog-land it can be a bit unnerving. We dislike blogs where everything is breathless shiny bright every single second of the day. Life isn’t like that. We have been ridiculously busy, we have also been clearing out, cleaning, reorganising cupboards, shelves, filing cabinets, everywhere. It is a wonderful feeling and we are about half way through but it’s not really the stuff of blogs (although I did get a post out of it!). Do you want to read the post about how we have changed bank accounts and electricity suppliers? Mmmm, thought not. We have both been unwell too, nothing serious but it made me recognise what being ninety years old must be like (note to self, make retirement house low maintenance when we get there in many, many years time).

So we are putting the padlock on TheBigForest hut and having 48 hours off. A moment to recharge. Race you to the beach?

I like this post very much, you are so right to strictly keep being truthful and “real” in your blogspace! I hope you enjoy your weekend wholeheartedly. I just came in from a wonderful, relaxing zen-like “walkies” and the crispy fresh spring air is just marvellous.

  2. Such an honest post! You’re so right–not everything we do is blog-worthy. Have a wonderful weekend!
