To the beach

This should be a ‘Travels in a Campervan’ post but its in for repair (it’s a long story you don’t want to know but we get it back again on Friday says the nice man at the garage) so this weekend we headed off by train to the North Yorkshire coast. A long weekend away to celebrate M and C’s Ruby Wedding. Here they are greeted by their son, two daughters, four grandchildren and three sons-in-law and clasping some wild Scabious picked from the fields.

Sunday was perfect. A late breakfast, some time sketching on the kitchen table, a walk high up on the coast looking over Filey Bay from the Brigg and the family party.

And now we are back home again. Such a quick trip it almost felt like a dream.

  1. What a beautiful stretch of coastline. Amazing clouds too.

    • Its beautiful isn’t it. My parents in law just walk for a minute to the bottom of their road and woosh there it is! A stunning view of Filey Bay. I tell them that most of the readers of Coast or Country Living magazine dream of having such a wonderful view on their doorstep.

  2. We love our ‘Cottage in Felt’ hanger. It looks just like our Fishermans Cottage, even the feline FileySamson in the window. Thanks for coming!
