A wonderful day at The Fairytale Fair

You can never tell with fairs and selling events. As they say in the investment adverts ‘past performance does not predict future returns’. Just because the last event in a venue was supergreat and full of folks doesn’t mean it will be hunkydory this time. Oh the disappointment of all that making effort and setting up a stall only to see the tumble weed rolling across the open expanse of floor and no shoppers or perhaps just  a student looking for ideas for his next college project.

Which bring us to the Fairy Tale Fair…………which was so superbly run by Claire Montgomery Designs, so packed with interesting people to talk to, so full of customers who ‘got’ TheBigForest and bought lots of things and so stupendously successful that we are two happy bright bears today! We will do another post about some of the wonderful makers you should know, but for now we are just posting some pictures of the fair.

Setting up before we opened

Tea and cake

Putting out more stock

A constant stream of customers (I had to wait until it had quietened down a bit before I could take photos!)

Couldn’t agree more about fairs, they can be very hit or miss. This one looks great and I’m so glad you did well.My daughter wanted to go as she’s down in Brighton but had to go to a wedding instead ! x

  2. Isn’t it wonderful when things go just a bit better than you’d hoped? Fantastic for you! And loving your setup. 😉

    • Thank you Dory. We always set a sales target we would like to reach but to exceed it three times over was rather wonderful…….and to get such nice tweets about our work too (oh I LOVE social media when it spreads happiness. LOL!)

  3. I’m glad to hear the fair went well for you guys.
