By the real McKay

Some times the work of  another designer or illustrator simply speaks to you. It’s not about the same visual language but a freshness of approach that makes you see the familiar with new eyes. We were slowly browsing in Upper Gardener Street Market in Brighton when we spotted Angela’s work. It seemed kind of ……………….familiar, although we were not sure why. Suddenly Benjamin made the connection, he had bought me one of Angela’s campervan badges and it was pinned on my summer jacket.Blog1McKay

Go explore Angela beautiful illustrations here:

We have learnt not to recommend geographic specific shopping (!) but if, by some strange coincidence you happen to be in Brighton, England on a sunny spring Saturday then Angela also has a tent – and a welcoming smile – in Upper Gardener Street selling her wonderful illustrations, cards and badges.

  1. love the ink and watercolours. So fresh yet nostalgic. The camper van buttons are cute. What colour do you pin on your jacket. My neighbour used to have a orange VW Camper Van. LOVE them

    • The button is a line drawing but an orange campervan sounds great. Our own campervan is not vintage but we love any campervan. Its great just take off for a few nights or a picnic!
