What makes a good toy shop?

WigwamBlog So where do you stand on toyshops? Hands up for plastic toys in lurid colours and dolls that look like Katie Price, mmmm, I thought not, or what about a magical place of wonderful and surprising discoveries for creative kids? Sounds more like it guv’nor!

If you are within an hours drive of Brighton on the Sussex coast we thoroughly recommend a trip to Wigwam Toys for your kids  Christmas shopping. It is a perfectly formed delight of a shop and has a wonderful range of toys and, ta-da,  a full range of goods by TheBigForest! To be honest we would be singing the praises of Wigwam even if it wasnt stocking our Christmas cards, a special range of TheBigForest Wigwam bears and a lots more besides.

Wigwam is up in the Fiveways neighbourhood of Brighton and is nestling amongst delights such as a very nice baker, a retro clothes shop, a butcher, a greengrocer and the Lark on Lowther, a rather yummy-mummy coffee shop of the best sort! In fact Fiveways is all very ladybird book in the 1960’s and shouldn’t be missed. So there you go. Weekend sorted, discover Wigwam Toys, have a coffee, a run round Blakers park with its panoramic view of Brighton and then down to the sea. What more could you want?
