The hounds of love!

TheBigForestDogs1If you are buying a Christmas present for a dog lover can we humbly suggest one of our beautiful dog brooches? Lots of breeds to choose from, in a neat gift box and we also make custom brooches in the colour/breed of your dog. They have been a huge hit over on our Not On The High Street and Etsy shops and, as we keep being told, it’s the attention to detail and the quality of the workmanship that makes them exceptional….. oh, and they are fun too. So, dear blogger friends, turn your back on the mass-produced and have a handmade Christmas. Do we agree?TheBigForestDogs3

  1. Brilliant idea! All of them are gorgeous. And I agree that the best Christmas is handmade Christmas. K.

  2. I’m not even a dog lover but these are very cute.

    • We have just been selling at an event in London where folks were saying exactly the same thing! There seemed to be two trains of thought – Ive got such and such breed, do you have a brooch and I havent got a real dog but that dog brooch looks cute so Ill have him!

  3. Ohh… a still dogless (;-( ) but very doggy-person I fell in love with all of them as soon as I saw them, what a cute idea and what an adorable expression they have on their little faces, I donΒ΄t know how you always come up with such amazing stuff, is it the fresh Brighton seabreeze or a special herbal tea you drink that enhances the creative vibes ?!? I really am one of your greatest fans and seriously consider the “handmade Christmas”…

    • Thanks Cristine! Yes we are dogless at the moment due to where we are living and have constant discussions about what breed of dog we will have when we settle again shortly.

The problem for us is not coming up with the ideas but having a enough time to make all of them, and creating stuff folks want to buy too. All good fun!

      • ;-D oho yes, I do understand that – but you have to be aware of the danger having even many many more ideas to create stuff when you do have a dog at home looking fluffy and cute, being cheeky, maybe needing a warm and stylish coat …I can hardly wait to see what you will come up with then !! I am sure it will be fantastic. When I was younger we had a family dog with real Rastafarian dreadlocks ( a huge Hungarian sheep dog, a Komondor) and I tirelessly painted / sketched / crafted him in various shapes and materials…I might post some of those “early works” when I think of it…see how you inspire me, I love it πŸ˜‰

      • A Hungarian sheep dog, wow, he sounds wonderful. We would love to see some of your ‘early works’ of him.

  4. Aaaww, they’re great! Love the pug πŸ™‚
