The panda in a onesie offers you a drink

TheBigForestBrockman1A candid shot of TheBigForest designers out  on the town with friends? Well almost….but not quite. These Brockmann characters are apparently rare and somehow epitomise our ‘not grown-up grown-ups’ philosophy (I’ve just tried to write a silly definition of this non too serious philosophy and it read like a Phd thesis so it can wait for another post!) .

The two central characters have snuck in to the bags of one or other of TheBigForest makers on their travels as a constant reminder that back home there is a forest and lots of nice folks who collect and enjoy what we make and design. I’m not sure about the onesie fad (that must be ending now, surely) but these Brockmann guys look very cool and perhaps we could emulate this? But again someone the wrong side of fifteen answering the door dressed as a bear or a panda wouldn’t be a good move. Best to leave it to these little plastic fella’s who sit above TheBigForest work space.

In other news, today sees us out in the garden making bases for a new range of bears. Its all boys toys with a power sander and spraying the bases to look like the surface of the moon. It’s a very hard life but someone has to do this stuff……

Ok, which animal are you? Answers on a post card. Winner gets an evening in the forest with carrot cake and a glass of Baileys Irish Cream which is the most  ‘not grown-up grown-ups’ drink we know.TheBigForestBrockman2

  1. I like the skateboarding deer or whatever that one with the antlers is. I also like Bailey’s so I’ll be there soon!

  2. Ah, if I only had a postcard handy, I´d send it to you revealing that I definetly am the lion – fluffy mane and bad temper (sometimes 😉 ) . Would love to get a glimpse at your working space, carrot cake or not – must be like a VERY stylish toys´r us-outlet ;-D

    • Our workspace is something like a swedish hut at Skansen and a victorian english gardeners bothy. In summer the forest opens out and we can see the sea and during the winter the pine forest closes around us like a blanket. To be honest its not terribly stylish as there are bears everywhere for a magazine shoot. More of that in a post soon!
