English Summer: Paddling

With simple childish pleasure we splish sploshed barefoot in to the water. Paddling is good any time of day but particularly as the sun goes down. Empty beach, warm sand, gulls circling overhead. Look up, the wisps of cloud in the thick blue of the evening sky.PaddlingTheBigForestBlog

The crisp wave crest, a moment of simple pleasure!

  1. Thumbs up to paddling!

  2. I have a photo of my boy digging in the sand at the beach near Mumbles. It always makes me smile when I look at it. This post captured the feeling of being on that quiet beach with him and my sailor.

    • Its lovely when you have photos that do more than just capture an image but hold a whole bundle of associations and happy, happy thoughts. We are counting down the weeks to our next trip to Wales now.

  3. Ah, yes! You capture the feeling!
