Its Christmas!

TheBigForestBearsBlogAt five in the morning there is the sound of squeeks and scuffles and the gentle pad of paws on the hall carpet runner here in TheBigForest hut. What is it? Surely not mice?

Actually its Benjamin making his way downstairs for a day making Christmas orders. We are not complaining but its gone mad here particularly for our felt dog likenesses of people pets.

We were talking about our first year of TheBigForest when we completed our making in early December. I was going to say ‘happy days’ but it wasn’t. If you are a maker there is nothing more irksome than folks saying they are run off their feet and people aren’t exactly flocking to your own door. Three years later and…..well its squeeks and scuffles at five am. A performance indicator of success if ever there was one!

In other news…well you have noticed we are not regularly blogging. In fact we should have ‘rested’ the blog when our period of change began but, as we all know, hindsight is a wonderful thing and its taken longer, much longer than we ever imagined. In the new year things will be different – or by the end of January to be exact. All be revealed…

If we don’t get to another post before Christmas then every good wish for Christmas, New Year and the holiday season. If you have bought our goods during the year  then a huge thank you for supporting the handmade and TheBigForest.
